Every Ling Tanya Ling
We’ve been wanting to share this news for some time and now, after a couple of false starts, change of direction and a great deal of editing, we are able to announce with pleasure, that the book about the work and career to date of Tanya Ling is complete and will be ready for release on 30th September, 2022.
Beautifully designed by Studio Kunze, the publication contains over 200 images, of which 179 are printed in full colour, representing artwork made by Tanya over a period spanning three decades.
We also need to add, with thanks, that writer and curator Andrew Renton has contributed an essay to the book, titled, ‘Faith in Motion: Tanya Ling and her Line’.
Read all about it here in our online shop where you are able to pre-order a copy.

Tanya joins Harper’s / 17th December 2021
We are delighted to announce that Tanya will now be represented exclusively in the US by Harper Levine and his gallery Harper’s, who presented Tanya’s show, Let it come to me, in East Hampton during the summer.
Founded in 1997, Harper’s was built on Harper Levine’s decades-long career as a rare book and photography dealer operating out of 87 Newton Lane, East Hampton, a space he originally shared with Glenn Horowitz. A second space, Harper’s Apartment situated on the Upper East Side of NYC was added (2016) to his enterprise that focussed exclusively on contemporary art. Locations in Chelsea, NYC and Los Angeles have also recently been added.
An exhibition of new work by Tanya is scheduled to take place at Harper’s LA in the Fall of 2022.
Visit Harper’s website here.

Tanya Ling Studio + Feldspar
Tanya Ling Studio is delighted to announce a one-day exhibition of new fine bone china sculptures produced in collaboration with Feldspar, the young and dynamic ceramic studio ran by Jeremy and Cath Brown in rural Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor.
Titled after natural occurring wells and springs found on Dartmoor National Park, the names of the new works, such as Coppathorn Spring and Chapel Lands Spring, connect the works with some of Ling’s most recent paintings named after French fountains, Fontaine des Mers Place de la Concorde Paris, and Fontaine Saint-Sulpice.
The sculptures treat Feldspar’s beautifully crafted drinkware, dinnerware and serveware like found objects – in the readymade tradition of art-making. They fall into three distinct groups; conjoined hand painted teapots, bowls and plates, biscuit fired sculptural pile-ups with grouting and glazed fine bone china signed, ‘T.Ling’ in ultramarine blue.
The collaboration echoes that of Pablo Picasso’s ceramics produced with Suzanne and Georges Ramié some 75 years ago – and follows a path of artist forays into this utilitarian material, from Duchamp’s Fountain, to Méret Oppenheim’s Le Déjeuner en fourrure to the sculpted works of Lucio Fontana, Hannah Wilke and Edmund de Waal.
The exhibition will mark the end of Tanya Ling’s six-month residency at The Carriage Hall where the sculptures will be shown.

Tanya Ling Studio is delighted to announce that Tanya Ling has been invited to takeover the Tate Gallery Instagram account in order to celebrate the exhibition Sonia Delaunay (1885–1979), Tate Modern, 15th April – 9th August 2015. Like Ling’s, Delaunnay’s practice encompassed a wide range of media and disciplines including painting, textile design, costume design and clothing.
Ling’s Instagram account TANYA_LING has acquired something of a cult following amongst members of the art world, fashion industry and Instagram aficionados. She was possibly the first user to build a mosaic where the individual tiles fed through the app only make sense when seen together in the grid view. One set of images link to another to create a never ending sequence.
A second Ling instagram account idea_drawings features Ling’s idea drawings.
